Celebration Night
The Celebration Night is a joyful event dedicated to honoring the hard work and accomplishments of our young members at AWANA. It's a night we recognize the dedication and commitment of our children who have shown exceptional growth and learning throughout the year.
The evening also marks the significant milestone of our student ministry graduations. It's a momentous occasion where we celebrate the spiritual journey of our students, acknowledging their perseverance and commitment to their faith. Their graduation is not an end but a new beginning, a stepping stone to a lifelong journey of faith and service.
In addition, the Celebration Night is a time to express our deepest gratitude to our volunteers. Their service has been instrumental in shaping the lives of our next generation. We take this opportunity to thank them for their leadership.
And what's a celebration without some sweet treats? The night concludes with a delightful ice cream social. It's a time for everyone to mingle, share stories, and enjoy a variety of delicious ice cream flavors.

Good Friday
A Good Friday worship service is a solemn and reflective time remembering Jesus's death at Calvary. Our Good Friday services are often marked by a more somber tone than typical Sunday worship services, reflecting the sorrow and grief associated with Jesus' suffering and death. However, it's also a time of anticipation and hope, looking forward to Easter Sunday and the celebration of Jesus' resurrection.
Programs for Kids will run during the 5pm service on the 3rd floor but not during the 7pm service. The Stations of the Cross walking experience will be on the 2nd floor and run from 3-7pm.
Stations of the Cross
Allow yourself some time to experience ten Stations of the Cross on Friday, April 7, between 3 and 7pm. In addition to reading a scripture passage and devotional thought at each station (there's also a shortened description ideal for kids), you'll roll, pour, taste, and more, as you meditate on Christ's journey to the cross

Ash Wednesday
Join us as we begin the Lent season with our Ash Wednesday service. This service is a special gathering that marks the beginning of the season of Lent, a period of 40 days leading up to Easter. The service is characterized by receiving ashes on the forehead. The ashes, traditionally made by burning the palm branches used in the previous Palm Sunday service, are applied in the shape of a cross as a symbol of repentance and mortality. The Ash Wednesday service is a solemn occasion, emphasizing reflection, repentance, and the human need for God's forgiveness.
Our service includes readings from the Bible, prayer, music, and a short message. Kids are welcome to attend the service. We will not have additional Kids programing or nursery available during the service.
Lent Project
he 2024 Lent Project starts on the day before Ash Wednesday, February 13th and runs through Bright Week, Saturday, April 6th. Each day of the Lent Project features a Scripture passage, a devotional written by a member of the Biola community, a work of fine art, a poem, and a piece of music. This Lenten season we will be focusing on the Apostle Paul. Sign-up here
